We have a number of dedicated workshops running this term: Training can be tailored to your needs and delivered with individuals, groups or the whole staff. You can also choose to keep your costs low by sharing your day with a cluster.Choose from any of the workshops above or alternatively pick a workshop theme from our our current course programme or current INSET themes. Lesson Observation & FeedbackThe skills of observing others teachThese workshops develop the confidence and competence to carry out developmental lesson observations and are available in 1, 3 and 5 day packages. 5 day workshops enable schools to customise their own framework, to pilot it and to review the outcomes.
Workshop will include:Establishing the expectations, accountabilities and core rolesusing frameworks of effectiveness in observationsexploring how to develop the impact of teaching on learningdiscussing, evaluating and moderating opinions throughobserving a series of lessons on DVDgiving and receiving feedbacksharing observations (up to four), discussing and moderating judgements about the lesson, observe feedback and give an overall assessment of the observer's practice
School & Departmental Self EvaluationKnowing yourself well and telling the storyThis workshop will help middle and senior leaders understand the key principles and practices of effective self evaluation which lead to action and positive outcomes for learners.
Workshop will include:identifying a range of practical methods for effective selfevaluationextending knowledge about the use of dataclear protocols in observing learning and teaching andgiving feedbackusing the learner as a critical player in the evaluation processthe importance of a positive culture
